Holly Springs, Mississippi Engagement Session | Molly + Schaeffer

Uncategorized

I photographed Molly’s best friend’s Mississippi wedding a few years ago and ever since, I’ve enjoyed the occasional pop up in Paige’s instagram that included Molly in it. They really are two of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet so when Molly asked us to photograph her upcoming wedding I was JUMPING when I opened the email. Not only was I thrilled to be photographing her wedding but this history nerd was overjoyed when she told me about all the fun locations lurking around historic Holly Springs, Mississippi, including land that was owned by her family.

Molly and Schaeffer took us on an adventure last Saturday and Rusty and I loved every minute of it. Not only are they so much fun, but the locations they chose were absolute perfection for their engagement session. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek as much as I have!

Also, can we just all take a minute to appreciate this GORGEOUS abandoned mansion in Holly Springs? Seriously, it still has CURTAINS hanging in the windows, overgrown gardens, iron gates and a porch that’s falling in – but it was everything a wedding photographer/history nerd dreams of when it comes to architecture! It’s not often we get to mildly trespass AND get a couple in a boat all in the same session.

Also, a little PSA – if I find a boat at your engagement session or your wedding, I’ll most likely ask you to get in it. I promise, it’s OH SO WORTH IT.

  1. These are such gorgeous photos at such a beautiful location! I never even though about a long white dress for an engagement session. LOVE IT!
